Body
WHEREAS, the County Counselor recommends that he be authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement extension with Anne Baggott of Denton’s Law Firm to provide legal services to the County in certain new and ongoing matters; and,
WHEREAS, this Legal Services Agreement is for the furnishing of services related to employment matters, and not to exceed $82,688.00 for services to be performed in 2026; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Counselor be and hereby is authorized to execute a Legal Services Agreement extension with the lawyer and/or law firm identified in this Resolution, for a term ending December 31, 2026, at an aggregate cost to the County not to exceed $82,688.00; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Interim Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payments, on the Agreement and Addendums.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
