Body
WHEREAS, with the approval of Ordinance #5955 regarding use of American Rescue Plan Act funds, Jackson County has accumulated a new undesignated fund balance in its General Fund and Health Fund; and

WHEREAS, the County plans to draw down on this undesignated fund balance for the purposes of helping disadvantaged communities and for addressing the County's infrastructure needs; and,

WHEREAS, in order to properly manage and monitor the financial aspects of these purposes, it is now also appropriate that the Disadvantaged Communities Fund (Fund No. 082) and the Jackson County Infrastructure Fund (Fund No. 81) be established as dedicated health and general funds within the County's financial system; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County MO, that the Disadvantaged Communities Fund be and hereby is established as a dedicated health fund (082) within the financial system of the County; and,


BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County MO, that the Jackson County Infrastructure Fund be and hereby is established as a dedicated general fund (081) within the financial system of the County; and,





BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED the County Administration and Legislature previously agreed in Ordinance 5955 and hereby authorize that the County Administration and Legislature be and hereby are authorized to take all actions necessary including future inter-fund transfers to comply with the intent expressed in this Ordinance and all applicable state laws.
