Body
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has applied to the Jackson County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled for funding assistance for the Department's Special Recreation Division; and,
WHEREAS, the Board has agreed to provide a maximum sum of $168,749.00, to assist the Division with its United Cerebral Palsy Sports, Special Olympics, exception leagues, day camps, classes, and social events programs; and,
WHEREAS, execution of an agreement with the Board is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute a contract with the Jackson County Board of Services for the Developmentally Disabled in a form as approved by the County Counselor...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
