Body
WHEREAS, the Economic Development Department's cooperative advertising campaign is a program through which participating communities contribute resources which are combined with those of the County for advertising design, placement, and related services; and,
WHEREAS, those agencies and municipalities currently participating in this program are the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City, City of Independence, City of Lee's Summit, City of Blue Springs, City of Grandview, City of Sugar Creek, and City of Buckner, as approved through Resolution 11276 dated May 13, 1996; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Oak Grove now wishes to participate in the cooperative advertising campaign by providing funding in the amount of $1,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, the execution of this Cooperative Agreement with the City of Oak Grove is in the best interest of the health, safety, and welfare of the citizens of the County; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached Cooperative Agreement with the City of Oak Grove, in the amount of $1,500.00.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
