Body
WHEREAS, a 2016 Ford Transit van assigned to the Parks + Rec Department was vandalized by arson on January 29, 2025; and,
WHEREAS, the County’s automobile insurance carrier, MOPERM, has determined said vehicle to be a total loss and has elected to take possession thereof; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance and Purchasing has recommended that said vehicle be declared surplus property, unusable for County purposes, and disposed of in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 11 of the Jackson County Code; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the vehicle described and itemized in the declaration forms attached hereto and made a part hereof is hereby declared surplus property, and that the Director of Finance and Purchasing is hereby authorized and directed to dispose of said property in the manner provided by Chapter 11 of the Jackson County Code, 1984.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
