WHEREAS, the Collection Department has a continuing need for title searches; and,
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 9-05 for the furnishing of title searches for use by the Collection Department for the upcoming one-year period; and,
WHEREAS, a total of twenty (20) solicitations were distributed and the following three (3) responses were received:

and,
WHEREAS, this award is made on an as needed basis and does not obligate Jackson County to pay any specific amount. The availability of funds for specific purchases is subject to annual appropriations; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1054.6 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of a twelve (12) month term and supply contract for the furnishing of title searches for use by the Collections Department to Golden Shield of Grain Valley, MO, under the terms and conditions of Invitation to Bid No. 9-05 as the best and lowest bidder; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the award be made as recommended by the Director of Purchasing, and that the Director of Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
