WHEREAS, Crystal Oates, Deputy County Clerk, is retiring January 19, 2018, after thirty-two years of service to Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, Crystal began her career with Jackson County on January 1, 1986, in the Building Services Department; and,
WHEREAS, prior to being named Deputy County Clerk in 2015, Crystal held numerous other positions with the County, including Inmate Librarian, Clerk, and Legislative Aide; and,
WHEREAS, Crystal is known as a reliable and hard-working associate who has served the County with dedication; and,
WHEREAS, Crystal's co-workers value her knowledge and devotion to the Clerk's Office; and,
WHEREAS, Crystal's family and friends, including her daughters, Kia Poke, and Kristin Oates, her son Robert L. Oates, and her grandchildren, Robert, Maurice, Crystal, Paige, David, Alice, Chloe, and Daniel, all join in celebrating this special occasion; and,
WHEREAS, Crystal's friends and co-workers at Jackson County will miss her helpful attitude and wish her the best in retirement; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby extends its congratulations to Crystal Oates on the occasion of her retirement and extends best wishes for all of her future endeavors.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
