Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 14173, dated May 6, 2002, enter into an agreement with Swope Parkway Health Center, to partner with Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church of Kansas City, Missouri, in the development of a faith-based substance outreach and intervention initiative, in the amount of $25,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the COMBAT Commission has requested that the term of the Agreement be extended through December 31, 2003, at no additional cost to the County; and,
WHEREAS, the attached First Addendum to Agreement provides a suitable mechanism by which to implement the COMBAT Commission's recommendation in this regard; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached First Addendum to the Agreement with Swope Parkway Health Center, extending the term of the Agreement through December 31, 2003; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement and the First Addendum thereto.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
