Body
WHEREAS, the County Legislature appropriated $659,086.00 to the Salary Adjustment account in the Prosecuting Attorney's 2005 budget with the understanding that this appropriated amount would be subsequently transferred to other line item accounts upon the recommendation of the Prosecuting Attorney for the sole purpose of creation of a White Collar Crime Unit within the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney; and,

WHEREAS, in addition to the creation of the White Collar Crime Unit, the Prosecuting Attorney has requested that the transfer should cover the cost of a child welfare prosecution position previously funded by a grant that is no longer available and for a transition effecting approximately ten (10) employee positions from within the Anti Drug Sales Tax Fund to the General Fund; and,

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has requested that the balance of the funds not used for the salary, taxes and benefits of the four (4) new positions constituting the White Collar Crime Unit and the one (1) child welfare prosecutor position be transferred into the Regular Salaries (001-4101-5010) and related benefits accounts to fund positions currently in the Prosecuting Attorney's Anti Drug Fund budget (4152), in whole or in part, that will be moved to the Prosecuting Attorney's General Fund budget (4101); and,

WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney has recommended said transfer as set forth below; now therefore,
