Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 12323, dated August 31, 1998, a contract with River Oak, Inc., of Lee's Summit, MO, for the remodeling of office space for use by the Sheriff's Department on the ground floor of the Kansas City Courthouse was approved; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase this contract in the amount of $26,731.10 to avoid moving and/or replacing the building's fire alarm and elevator status/fire department control system and an associated emergency power transformer which are all located in space originally planned to be demolished for this project; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended the increase to this contract; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the increase to the contract be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the increase; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
