Body
WHEREAS, Will Staller has provided thirty-five (35) years of service to the Parks and Recreation Department; and,

WHEREAS, Will and his wife, Linda, will be leaving Missouri to retire in Arkansas; and,

WHEREAS, during his tenure with the Parks and Recreation Department, he has served as a project member of Blue River Glade, Lakeside Nature Center, Kansas City Harmony, the Kansas City Zoo, the Missouri Department of Conservation, Kansas City Power and Light, the City of Kansas City Parks and Recreation, and the Nature Conservancy; and,

WHEREAS, along with staff members and volunteers, Will was the initiating force behind the River Rats, a stream team who adopted the clean up of Lake Jacomo; and,

WHEREAS, Will was instrumental in establishing the Kemper Outdoor Education Center and the Native Hoofed Animal Enclosure at Lake Jacomo; and,

WHEREAS, Will served a dual position with the Parks and Recreation Department as the Assistant Director and as the Acting Superintendent of Natural Resources; and,

WHEREAS, Will gained the respect and admiration of colleagues for his hard work and meritorious service in enhancing and preserving the natural resources of the Jackson County lakes and parks; and,

WHEREAS, Will Staller has been a great asset to the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department and will be greatly missed; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature commends Will Staller for his dedication and distinguished career with the Jackson County Parks and Recreation Department for the past thirty-five (35) years, and wishes him success and ...
