Body
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is in possession of a 1995 Jeep Cherokee utility vehicle, VIN 1J4FJ28SXSL648191, that has become excess to the County's needs due to its damage in a vehicular accident; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends that this vehicle be declared surplus and that he be authorized to dispose of it by way of transfer to Acuity Insurance Co. of Dunkerton, IA, in settlement of an insurance claim, for the payment to the County of $6,000.00; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the above-referenced vehicle be and hereby is declared surplus personal property and that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it by way of transfer to Acuity Insurance Co. of Dunkerton, IA, in settlement of an insurance claim.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
