Body
WHEREAS, Jackson County owns the Blue River Parkway in Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, adjacent to the Blue River and the Southeast Sanitary landfill; and,
WHEREAS, Laidlaw Waste Systems (Kansas City), Inc. owns certain real estate adjacent to the Blue River Parkway, and has requested an easement for the construction and maintenance of five hydraulic structures on a levee located on the County's property; and,
WHEREAS, it will benefit the general health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Jackson County to have the proposed hydraulic structures built and maintained upon the County's property; therefo e,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute an easement agreement with Laidlaw Waste Systems (Kansas City), Inc., to carry out the above stated purposes in a form as approved by the County Counselor.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
