Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 18249, dated August 26, 2013, the Legislature did authorize Artwork Loan Agreements with certain parties, to be displayed at the Jackson County Museum of Art located on the second floor of the Historic Truman Courthouse; and,
WHEREAS, it has now been determined that there will be various additional artwork owners who will loan their artwork for display in the new museum, on a varied display schedule; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Historical Society will manage access to the gallery through guided tours of this area; and,
WHEREAS, in exchange for the loan of the artwork, the County will provide insurance coverage against physical loss or damage to the artwork; and,
WHEREAS, blanket authorization allowing the County Executive to execute Artwork Loan Agreements as they become necessary is the most efficient method for handling the loan of artwork for display in the museum; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the Artwork Loan Agreements as necessary, in the appropriate form to be approved by the County Counselor.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
