Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing pursuant to Section 1040.05 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the award of a term and supply contract for the furnishing of galvanized and aluminized type 2 corrugated culvert pipe and fittings for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments, under contract No. PA4470, an existing government contract of the City of Kansas City, MO, to K. C. Winwater Works Company of Kansas City (Clay County), MO; and,

WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the purchase under the existing government contract be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the purchase; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent the sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the current Jackson County budget.
