RESOLUTION 13820, September 10, 2001

INTRODUCED BY Victor E. Callahan, County Legislator


Body
WHEREAS, on June 12, 2001, Matthew Victor Martin age 15, received the Eagle Scout Badge in recognition of his hard work and dedication to scouting; and,

WHEREAS, Matthew faithfully completed all requirements of the Eagle Scout Badge as outlined in the Boy Scouts of America; and,

WHEREAS, he successfully collected and retired 186 United States Flags and educated several troops in the proper method of flag retirement; and,

WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout Badge will be presented to Matthew in an Eagle Court of Honor ceremony of October 21, 2001; and,

WHEREAS, Matthew is a member of Troop 347; and,

WHEREAS, his parents, Donald & Elizabeth Martin of Independence, Missouri are very proud of his accomplishments; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Matthew Victor Martin upon receiving the highest award in scouting, the Eagle Scout Badge and wishes him well in his future endeavors.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
