WHEREAS, the Jackson County Sheriff's Department has surplus personal property, to wit a 2000 Ford Sedan, VIN#1FAFP5327YG198679, that has become excess property to its damage in a motor vehicle accident; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has declared this property surplus and recommends that he be authorized to transfer this vehicle in an insurance company in settlement of a claim; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Director of Purchasing is hereby authorized to dispose of the Ford Sedan, by way of transfer to Northland Insurance Company of Mendota Heights, MN, in settlement of an insurance claim in the amount of $14,329.40.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
