RESOLUTION # 13819, September 10, 2001

INTRODUCED BY Victor E. Callahan, County Legislator


Body
WHEREAS, on August 9, 2001, Ryan Simcosky age 17, received the Eagle Scout Badge in recognition of his hard work and dedication to scouting; and,

WHEREAS, Ryan faithfully completed all requirements of the Eagle Scout Badge as outlined in the Boy Scouts of America; and,

WHEREAS, he successfully organized and completed the installation of nine "Buckle Up' seatbelts signs at the exits of Truman High School and Birchwood Baptist Church, both in Independence; and,

WHEREAS, the Eagle Scout Badge will be presented to Ryan in an Eagle Court of Honor ceremony of October 21, 2001; and,

WHEREAS, Ryan is a member of Troop 383; and,

WHEREAS, his parents, Mark & Patricia Simcosky of Independence, Missouri are very proud of his accomplishments; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Ryan Simcosky upon receiving the highest award in scouting, the Eagle Scout Badge and wishes him well in his future endeavors.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
