AN ORDINANCE appropriating $10,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Park Fund and authorizing the County Executive to execute an addendum to the cooperative agreement with Cave Spring Association, Inc., at a cost to the County not to exceed $10,000.00.

Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 15773, dated February 6, 2006, the Legislature did approve cooperative agreements with certain outside agencies for various parks and recreation public purposes; and,
WHEREAS, Cave Springs Association, Inc. has submitted a request for additional monies to cover unbudgeted expenses, due at least in part to an 18% increase in attendance; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary in order to place the required funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the unappropriated surplus of the 2006 Park Fund be and hereby is made:

and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the County Executive is authorized to execute for the County an addendum to the cooperative agreement, with Cave Spring Association, Inc., allowing for additional reimbursement of the associations' expenditure, in an amount not to exceed $10,000, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED that the Director of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract.

Effective Date: This ordinance shall be effective immediately upon its signature by the County Executive.
