Body
WHEREAS, the County has been awarded a grant in the amount of $483,100.00 for the Energy Efficiency Conservation Block Grant from the U.S. Department of Energy; and,
WHEREAS, the grant funds will be used for energy, efficiency, and conservation projects, including installation of high efficiency lighting, energy audits for Jackson County facilities, window replacements, HVAC upgrades, software to remotely power down computers and monitors, and developing a regional energy strategy; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends the acceptance of this grant; and,
WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to place the grant funds in the proper spending account; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation from the fund balance of the 2009 Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
