WHEREAS, in recent years a great deal of property within the City of Levasy has been inundated by flood waters; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Levasy is without adequate resources of its own to repair and construct the necessary improvements to provide greater protection from flood waters to its citizens; and,
WHEREAS, the Jackson County Public Works Department has the professional and technical expertise t asset, plan, and carry out necessary improvements to provide necessary flood control; now therefo e,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature request that the Jackson County Administration direct it Public Works Department to immediately undertake such feasibility and engineering studies as are necessary to determine the extent and nature, and ost of improvements needed to improve the flood control structures protecting the City of Levasy, nd to report the results thereof to the Legislature.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
