AN ORDINANCE transferring $142,062.00 within the 2009 General Fund and appropriating $231,651.00 from the fund balance of the 2009 Grant Fund in acceptance of a grant from the Missouri Department of Public Safety for a program focused on prevention and prosecution of sexual assaults.

Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office has been awarded a grant in the amount of $89,589.00 by the Missouri Department of Public Safety for a program focused on prevention and prosecution of sexual assaults in the County; and,
WHEREAS, this grant partially funds the salaries of three full-time prosecutors for this program; and,
WHEREAS, the grant is subject to a local match in the amount of $142,062.00; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary in order to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be and hereby are made:
