Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 13-04 for a twelve-month term and supply contract for the furnishing of sundry and novelty items for resale by the Parks and Recreation Department marinas; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the only bid thereon a bid from St. Joseph Distributing Co. of St. Joseph, Missouri; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bid submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends the contract be awarded to St. Joe Distributing Co. of St. Joseph, Missouri, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and
is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary for the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract thereby made, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agency are contained in the then current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
