INTRODUCED BY Dennis Waits, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, Mary Jo Hall attended Southeast Missouri State College for two years, graduated from St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing in 1952, and received her Masters Degree in Education with an emphasis in Health from the University of Missouri in 1994; and,

WHEREAS, after working at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico, for three years, Mrs. Hall enlisted in the Air Force Nurses Corps in 1956, serving until 1964; and,

WHEREAS, upon moving to the Lee's Summit area in 1976, Mrs. Hall volunteered and worked in the Lee's Summit School District as a school nurse; and,

WHEREAS, in 1981 Mrs. Hall began working for the Jackson County Health Department as a field nurse, serving the population of eastern Jackson County for 16 years; and,

WHEREAS, Mrs. Hall has been active in the Missouri Public Health Association for several years and is currently serving as its president for the 1996-1997 term; and,

WHEREAS, Mrs. Hall and her husband, Jim, have two children, John and Sara, and have been additionally blessed with one grandson, and expecting their second grandchild in July 1997; and,

WHEREAS, Mrs. Hall's favorite pastimes include baseball, football, basketball, and soccer, and reading non-fiction; and,

WHEREAS, upon retirement from the Jackson County Health Department, Mrs. Hall plans a housecleaning frenzy and will spend more time visiting with her children and grandchildren, gardening, and playing golf with her husband, remain active in the Missouri Public Health Association, and be attending her 50th high school reunion in September 1997; now therefore,
