INTRODUCED BY Bob Spence, County Legislator
Body
WHEREAS, Douglas R. Myers is a 16-year-old youth attending Lee's Summit North High School; and,
WHEREAS, Douglas is to be commended upon being appointed to the United States Junior Olympic Shotgun Trap Team, a team composed of 15 boys and 5 girls; and,
WHEREAS, Douglas will participate in matches at Ft. Benning, GA, Atlanta, GA, and Colorado Springs leading up to the Junior Olympics in August 1999; and,
WHEREAS, selections for this prestigious honor are based on a youth's shooting ability, academics, and citizenship; and,
WHEREAS, Douglas is the son of Gary and Sue Ann Myers of Lee's Summit, MO; and,
WHEREAS, Douglas exemplifies the best of Jackson County youth; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature congratulates Douglas R. Myers upon being selected for the United States Junior Olympic Shotgun Trap Team.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
