WHEREAS, Patrick (Pat) A. Dujakovich was recently appointed President of the Greater Kansas City AFL-CIO, the umbrella organization for Organized Labor; and,
WHEREAS, Pat began his professional career in 1987, when he joined the Kansas City, Missouri, Fire Department and became a member of the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local No. 42; and,
WHEREAS, Pat received his first of many promotions in 1991 when he was promoted to Driver, he was promoted to Captain in 1995, and in 2001 he became Battalion Chief, the position that he still holds today; and,
WHEREAS, upon being promoted to Battalion Chief, Pat became a member of IAFF Local No. 3808, was elected Secretary/Treasurer in 2002, and was elected President of Local No. 3808 in 2004; and,
WHEREAS, in 2005, Pat was appointed, and later elected, the Secretary/Treasurer of the Greater Kansas City AFL-CIO, and held this position until his recent appointment as President; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Patrick A. Dujakovich on his appointment as President of the Greater Kansas City AFL-CIO.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
