Body
WHEREAS, the County did, by Resolution 12991, dated December 6, 1999, enter into a contract with Pyramid Contractors, Inc., of Olathe, KS, in the amount of $2,498,547.15, for the Liggett Road Bridge Replacement, Project No. 2249; and,
WHEREAS, proposed Change Order No. 4, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is necessary to adjust various plan quantities to as-built quantities, and said change order will result in an decrease in the amount of $88,100.83; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Change Order No. 4 to the aforesaid contract is approved and the County Executive is authorized to execute the change order on behalf of the County; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance be and hereby is authorized to release the encumbrance on the contract balance of $88,100.83.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
