A RESOLUTION congratulating Fort Osage High School senior Corey Crandall, upon his victory in the 140-pound division at the 1999 Missouri State Class 4A Wrestling Championship.

INTRODUCED BY Terry Young, County Legislator
Body
WHEREAS, Corey Crandall, a senior at Fort Osage High School, has achieved a series of impressive wins as a wrestler; and,
WHEREAS, Corey went undefeated this season with a 47-0 record, becoming the first undefeated wrestler in Ft. Osage school history; and,
WHEREAS, Corey has now surpassed all previous victories by winning the 1999 Missouri State Class 4A Wrestling Championship in the 140-pound division; and,
WHEREAS, Corey becomes only the fourth athlete at Ft. Osage to win an individual state championship in any sport; and,
WHEREAS, Corey led the Fort Osage wrestlers to their best team standing ever, finishing fifth at state; and,
WHEREAS, Corey has completed his high school wrestling career as the school's all-time career wins leader; and,
WHEREAS, leading Corey and his teammates to their outstanding season was Head Coach Bob Luke; and,
WHEREAS, Corey is a member of the National Honor Society holding a 4.09 GPA, the third highest in his class; and,
WHEREAS, Corey is also president of the Student Council and an Eagle Scout; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Corey Crandall on his win at the 1999 Missouri 4A State Wrestling Championship, and for his outstanding record as a student and wrestler for Fort Osage High School.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
