Body
WHEREAS, by Resolution 16286, dated May 7, 2007, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute a Cooperative Agreement with the City of Kansas City, Missouri, in connection with County Urban Road System (CURS) road and bridge projects; and,

WHEREAS, by Resolution 16317, dated June 4, 2007, the Legislature did authorize the County Executive to execute an STP-URBAN CURS Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission and the City of Kansas City, Missouri, which enable the County to act as the agent of the City of Kansas City, Missouri, and authorized the collection of the federal reimbursement in an amount not to exceed $2,000,000.00 in connection with improvements to Longview Road from Hickman Mills to Orchard Drive; and,

WHEREAS, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission specifically requested the adoption of an ordinance authorizing the supplemental agreement pursuant to the federal reimbursement requirements; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works now recommends the execution of a supplemental STP-URBAN CURS Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission and the City of Kansas City, Missouri, which will reduce the maximum federal reimbursement to $1,400,000.00; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the County Executive is hereby authorized to execute the supplemental STP-URBAN CURS Agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission and the City of Kansas...
