Body
WHEREAS, by Ordinance 4178, dated November 23, 2009, the Legislature did authorize the acceptance of the Byrne Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) for use by the Prosecuting Attorney's Office to provide funding for the salary and benefits of the Jackson County Drug Court employees and for re-entry services; and
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney desires to reallocate funds from the re-entry services under this grant to continue to provide for the salaries and benefits of the Drug Court staff; and,
WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City is the fiscal agent for this grant and it has authorized the reallocation of these funds; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer is necessary to place funds in the appropriate spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer within the 2011 Anti-Drug Grant Fund be and hereby is made:
