Body

WHEREAS, the City of Kansas City, MO ("City") has developed plans to replace two bridges and modify the alignment of Raytown Road adjacent to the Sports Complex, City Projects 5447 and 5448; and,

WHEREAS, the replacement of the bridges is required due to deterioration and flooding from Round Grove Creek; and,

WHEREAS, in connection with this project, the City requires conveyances totalling 2.655 acres from Jackson County, Missouri and execution of a temporary construction easement of 0.065 acres for which the City has proposed to pay the total sum of $35,317.00 to the County; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation has determined that the City projects will benefit the County and its citizens with no detrimental impact to the County or its Parks System; and,

WHEREAS, the execution of these conveyances is in the best interests of the health, welfare and safety of the citizens of the County; and,

WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation recommends that the County Executive be authorized to execute the attached warranty deed and temporary construction easement attached hereto; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the proposed warranty deed and easement for $35,317.00 be and hereby are approved; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached warranty deeds and temporary construction easement.
