INTRODUCED BY Victor E. Callahan, County Legislator

Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 56-95 for the furni hing of automatic transmission service for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Depart ents to provide for their needs for the upcoming one-year period; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest two bids thereon bids from the following:

VENDOR BID

Aamco Transmission $20 hourly Independence, MO

Cottman Transmissions $35 hourly Kansas City (Jackson County), MO

and,

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that award be made to Aamco Transmissions of Inde endence, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recomm nded by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payme ts, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using pending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.
Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of he Legislature.
