Body
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation and Public Works Departments has a need for the furnishing of steel products for departmental operations; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing recommends the award of a twelve (12) month term and supply contract for the furnishing of steel products for use by the Parks and Recreation and Public Works Departments to Residential Steel LLC of Grain Valley, MO, under the terms and conditions set forth in an existing government contract; and,

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 1064. of the Jackson County Code, 1984, the Director of Purchasing requests approval by the Legislature of this purchase which exceeds $25,000.00. The Director of Purchasing has determined that due to higher volume discounts offered to larger entities, the award should be made as recommended under the following contract:
