Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 142-98 for the sale of animals which are surplus to the County; and,
WHEREAS, the only bid received was from R. Duane Rogers of Pleasant Hill, MO for the sale of four bison heifer calves; and,
WHEREAS, he has recommended that award be made to R. Duane Rogers of Pleasant Hill, MO, for the reason that he has submitted the highest and best bid for these animals; and,
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director recommends that all remaining surplus animals for which no bids were received, consisting of seven bison bull calves, four elk bull calves, two elk heifer calves, and one elk cow, be auctioned off at the Lolli Brothers exotic animal sale on December 10-11, 1998, in Macon, MO; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of the remaining surplus animals by public auction at the Lolli Brothers exotic animal sale on December 10-11, 1998, in Macon, MO...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
