Body
WHEREAS, on July 29, 2006, at La Benite Park in Sugar Creek, MO, the Little Blue River Watershed Coalition will host "Boats and Brats," a watershed educational family event designed to educate Kansas City region elected officials, government management, stormwater professionals, consultants, and their families; and,
WHEREAS, partial sponsorship of this event, at a cost to the County not to exceed $2,000.00, is in the best interest of the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of Jackson County, Missouri; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature expresses its full support of the "Boats and Brats" educational program and hereby authorizes the County Executive to execute a Cooperative Agreement for this program with the Little Blue River Watershed Coalition, in a form to be approved by the County Counselor; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance and Purchasing be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
