Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office has been awarded the Community-Defined Solutions to Violence Against Women grant in the amount of $3,132.00 by the City of Blue Springs and the City of Lee's Summit for the period May 1, 2011, through August 12, 2011; and,
WHEREAS, the grant will partially cover the salary and benefits for one assistant prosecuting attorney assigned to domestic violence cases; and,
WHEREAS, in order to complete this project, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office requires an additional $20,714.00, to be sourced from its budget; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary in order to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be and are hereby made:
