WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 80-96 for the furnishing of a wheelchair accessible van for use by the Parks & Recreation Department's Special Recreation Division; and,

WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest two bids thereon bids from the following:
VENDOR BID

Metro Ford $38,391.94
Independence, MO

Olathe Ford
Olathe, KS $39,207.00

and,

WHEREAS, he has recommended that award be made to Metro Ford of Independence, MO, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; and,

WHEREAS, an appropriation is necessary to enable the County to purchase a wheelchair accessible van for use by the Parks & Recreation Department's Special Recreation Division through a donation from the law firm of Shook, Hardy & Bacon; now therefore,

BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following appropriation be and hereby is made from the unappropriated surplus of the 1996 Park Fund:
