Body
WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing, pursuant to Section 1040.04 of the Jackson County Code, 1984, recommends the purchase of vehicular and heavy equipment glass repair service from Harding/Binswanger Glass of Independence, MO, in the estimated amount of $8,000.00, under an existing government contract of the City of Independence, MO, Contract No. 133-03; and,
WHEREAS, Section 1064.00, Jackson County Code, 1984, requires that, for any such purchase in excess of $5,000, the Director of Purchasing shall submit the purchase to the County Legislature for approval; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award under the existing government contract be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
