AN ORDINANCE transferring $19,013.00 within and appropriating $55,915.00 from the fund balance of the 2010 Anti-Drug Sales Tax Fund in acceptance of a grant received from the Missouri Department of Public Safety for the Prosecuting Attorney's Office's Victim Services Program.

Body
WHEREAS, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office has been awarded a grant in the amount of $36,902.46 by the Missouri Department of Public Safety for the office's Victim Services Program for the period October 1, 2010, through September 30, 2011; and,
WHEREAS, the grant will cover partial funding for the salary, benefits, and training costs for a Victim Advocate; and,
WHEREAS, a match of $9,225.62 is required for this grant; and,
WHEREAS, in order to complete the project, the Prosecuting Attorney's Office requires an additional $9,786.92, to be sourced from its budget; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary in order to place the grant and matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends said transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be and are hereby made:
