Body
WHEREAS, Roger Wayne Cunningham passed away Sunday, June 19, 2005, and is survived by his loving wife Lucille; son Steve Cunningham and his wife, Iris; daughter Judy Shute and her husband, Austin; brother Ivan Cunningham; along with six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; and,
WHEREAS, Roger served as a Jackson County Legislator from 1985-1990 representing the 1st district; and,
WHEREAS, Roger also served his country in the Civilian Conservation Corps and then as a combat veteran in WWI serving in the Tank Corps under General Patton; and,
WHEREAS, Roger was held in the highest regards by both the citizens of Jackson County whom he served as Legislator for the 1st district and by the numerous men and women who came into contact with him during his lifetime; and,
WHEREAS, the memory of Roger Wayne Cunningham will live on in the hearts of his friends, family, and co-workers and he will never be forgotten; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature honors the life and works of Roger Wayne Cunningham for the time he served as a Jackson County Legislator for the 1st district.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
