Body
WHEREAS, October 2, 2026, through October 3, 2026, the Kansas City Bier Company will be presenting and organizing a two-day festival in celebration of German traditions named KC Oktoberfest; and,
WHEREAS, KC Oktoberfest is the largest traditional Oktober festival proudly presented in the region and is modeled after the Munich Oktoberfest in Germany; and,
WHEREAS, the Legislature acknowledges the benefits to the Jackson County and Kansas City communities of attracting an entertainment event to Jackson County which will promote goodwill and encourage family outings to districts within Jackson County; and,
WHEREAS, a license is necessary as it will set out the rights and obligations of the parties; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that Jackson County be and hereby is authorized to execute a License with Kansas City Bier Company.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
