Body
WHEREAS, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources accepts applications made under the National Recreational Trails Program for a grant-in-aid of 50 percent of the total cost of such projects; and,
WHEREAS, the County has submitted an application to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources to obtain a grant under the National Recreational Trails Program for the purpose of constructing 3.0 miles of multi-purpose bicycle/hiking trail through the east side of the Blue Springs Lake Project; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature supports the submission of a grant application to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources for funds to construct 3.0 miles of multi-purpose bicycle/hiking trail at Blue Springs Lake.
Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
