Body
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution 13362, the County has contracted with the Missouri Highway and Transportation Commission for the replacement of the Harris Road Bridge over Wilson Creek; and,

WHEREAS, Public Water Supply District No. 12 owns an existing water main parallel to Harris Road at the roadway's crossing of Wilson Creek; and,

WHEREAS, the water main is located in such a fashion to conflict with the channel modifications necessary for the bridge replacement; and,

WHEREAS, the District and the County have determined that it will be necessary to relocate a portion of the water main, the cost of which must be borne by the County in an amount not to exceed $34,800.00; and,

WHEREAS, to effect this relocation, the County and the District have negotiated the attached agreement; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the attached agreement is hereby approved, and that the County Executive be and hereby is authorized to execute the attached agreement on behalf of the County; and,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the Agreement.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
