Body
WHEREAS, Michael Jeffrey Morgenegg, a senior at Paseo Academy, has attained the rank of Eagle Scout; and,
WHEREAS, Michael, a nine-year member of Troop 25, sponsored by St. Francis Xavier Parents & Friends of Catholic Scouting, Inc., has held leadership positions including, patrol leader, scribe, quartermaster, and senior patrol leader; and,
WHEREAS, his Eagle Scout Project included assisting the outreach efforts of St. Francis Xavier Social ministries programs by painting the house of a parishioner; and,
WHEREAS, Michael, who has been camping for 8 years, received Honor Scout and Honor Camper Awards in 1998 and has earned 33 merit badges and attained the Foxman (1997), Brave (1998), Warrior (1999), Firebuilder (2000), and Tom Tom Beater (2001) in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say, where his tribal name is "Glowing Ember in the Night Sky;" and,
WHEREAS, in recognition of his outstanding achievements, Michael will receive the rank of Eagle Scout during a ceremony to be held on Sunday, November 4, 2001, at St. Francis Xavier Church; now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby extends sincere congratulations to Michael Jeffrey Morgenegg upon attaining the rank of Eagle Scout.
Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
