Body
WHEREAS, Matthew Steven Turley, a member of Boy Scouts of America Troop 24, has successfully completed all requirements to attain scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout; and,

WHEREAS, Matthew has been a scout for six years and formerly was a cub scout for 4 ½ years; and,

WHEREAS, he served as patrol leader, den chief, troop guide (Webelos), librarian, and assistant patrol leader, and earned 30 merit badges; and,

WHEREAS, his Eagle Scout project was to plan and organize the cleanup and striping of the parking lot at the First Calvary Baptist Church; and,

WHEREAS, he attended the Packard High Adventure Camp in Colorado and for six years attended H. Roe Bartle Scout Reservation; and,

WHEREAS, Matthew 's proud parents are Lee and Steve Turley of Kansas City, Missouri; and,

WHEREAS, Matthew will be recognized at his Eagle Court of Honor to be held at the Discovery Center, 4750 Troost Avenue in Kansas City, Missouri, on June 16, 2002, at 2:30 pm; now therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the Legislature hereby congratulates Matthew Steven Turley upon successfully completing all requirements to attain scouting's highest honor, the rank of Eagle Scout.

Enacted and Approved
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
