Body

WHEREAS, by Resolution 14515, dated April 8, 2003, the Legislature authorized twelve- month term and supply contracts with O'Reilly Auto Parts, of Springfield, MO, and Genuine Parts Co. d/b/a NAPA Auto Parts, of Blue Springs, MO, for the furnishing of non-dealer auto/truck parts for use by the Public Works and Parks and Recreation Departments in the estimated aggregate amount of $25,500.00; and,

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            

WHEREAS, as authorized by the contract, the Director of Purchasing recommends an extension to the contract with O'Reilly Auto Parts, of Springfield, MO, for the period of April 9, 2004 through April 8, 2005; and,

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Purchasing has recommended an increase to the contract with O'Reilly Auto Parts, of Springfield, MO,  in the estimated annual amount of $112,828.00, for an revised estimate aggregate total of $138,328.00; and,

 

WHEREAS, this increase is necessary to meet higher volume of usage and additional purchases through the extended contract term; therefore,

 

BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri that the contract with O'Reilly Auto Parts, of Springfield, MO,  be and hereby is extended until April 8, 2005, at an estimated increased cost to the County of $112,828.00; and,

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance be and hereby is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on this contract, to the extent that sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies are contained in the current County budget.

 

 

Enacted and Approved

Effective Date:  This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
