Flynn, County Legislator Body WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 42-98 for the furnishing of law enforcement supplies and ammunition for use by the Sheriff's and Corrections Departments; and, WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and, WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in estimated awards to the following vendors: VENDOR ESTIMATED AWARD Law Enforcement Equipment $70,000.00 Kansas City (Jackson County), MO Professional Police Supply $15,000.00 Oakland, CA Tuxall Equipment $15,000.00 Kansas City (Jackson County), MO Gil Hebard Guns $5,000.00 Knoxville, IL Lynn Peavey Company $2,500.00 Lenexa, KS Enforcer, Inc. $2,500.00 Overland Park, KS therefore, BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of the Department of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract, to the extent sufficient appropriations to the using spending agencies have heretofore been made in the current Jackson County budget...Attorney Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
