Body
WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited formal written bids on Bid No. 52-96 for the furnishing of grounds equipment for use by the Parks and Recreation Department at the Longview Golf Course; and,
WHEREAS, following evaluation of the bids submitted, the Purchasing Director recommends that the contract be divided and awarded to the vendors submitting the lowest bid for each item; and,
WHEREAS, award as recommended would result in the actual amounts for the respective vendors as follows:

WHEREAS, the acquisition of this new grounds equipment has rendered certain existing grounds equipment surplus property as follows: 1985 Toro GM 300-Tri-Plex Greens Mower with 8 blade reels and baskets, variable speed Model 04345 Serial No. 57191; (2) 1985 Cushman Runabout Model 89853-8610 Serial Nos. 1CUNH2221GL006942 and 1CUNH2225GL006944; (2) 1985 E-Z-Go Golf Car with Box, Model E 0285 Serial No. 356948 and Model G 1485 Serial No. 366552; and,
WHEREAS, pursuant to 1134., Jackson County Code, 1984, the Purchasing Director has requested that he be authorized to dispose of this grounds equipment by way of trade-in; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that award be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Manager of the Division of Finance is authorized to make all payments, including final payment on the contract; and,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the specified grounds equipment be and hereby is declared surplus property and the Purchasing Director be and hereby is authorized to dispose of it by way of trade-in...Attorney
Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
