AN ORDINANCE appropriating $47,000.00 from the unappropriated surplus of the 2001 Grant Fund and transferring $23,500.00 within the 2001 Park Fund, to cover a grant received from the Missouri Lewis & Clark Commission for initial architectural services in connection with the proposed Education Center at Fort Osage National Historic Landmark.

Body
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Department has received a Corps of Discovery grant from the State of Missouri's Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Commission in the amount of $23,500.00, for initial architectural services in connection with the proposed Education Center at the Fort Osage National Historic Landmark; and,
WHEREAS, the total estimated cost of the project is $47,000.00; and,
WHEREAS, the Commission will reimburse $23,500.00; and,
WHEREAS, a transfer and appropriation are necessary to place the grant funds and required matching funds in the proper spending accounts; and,
WHEREAS, the County Executive recommends this transfer and appropriation; now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the following transfer and appropriation be and hereby are made:
