WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has solicited bids on Electronic Solicitation No.BB200484 for the purchase of two (2) trash compactors for use by the Resource Conservation Department for recycling purposes; and,
WHEREAS, he has received as the lowest bid thereon only one (1) responsive bid from the following:

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Director has recommended that the total award of $31,000.00 be made to Deffenbaugh Industries of Shawnee, KS, for the reason that it has submitted the lowest and best bid; therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Legislature of Jackson County, Missouri, that the award of Electronic Solicitation No. BB200484 for the purchase of two (2) trash compactors be made as recommended by the Purchasing Director from Deffenbaugh Industries of Shawnee, KS, in an actual total cost to the County not to exceed $31,000.00, and that the Purchasing Director be, and is hereby, authorized to execute for the County any documents necessary to the accomplishment of the award and purchase.

Effective Date: This Resolution shall be effective immediately upon its passage by a majority of the Legislature.
